In December of 2015 the Joan Ganz Cooney Center reported that there was over 80,000 apps in the Apple App Store in Education alone. In addition, there is a lot of pressure on teachers to use educational technology in the classroom to help students develop 21st century skills. However, with that many choices how are educators supposed to narrow it down to the tool they should use with their students? Plus, once they have chosen a digital tool, how should they use it in their classroom to most benefit student learning? These types of questions can make using educational technology very daunting. This session will walk you through how to effectively evaluate digital tools for their benefit to student success. Together, we will then explore some examples into order to develop strategies on how to integrate digital tools into your classroom to most impact student learning. Experience with educational technology not required!Educators will be able to effectively evaluate digital tools for their benefit to student learning. Educators will be able to effectively integrate digital tools into their classroom to most impact student learning.
