Since the Code.org initiative 3 years, the percentage of schools teaching coding went from 1 in 10 to 1 in 4. Sometimes in education, when we measure things through data, we change course. We can not "give up the ship" on coding. In this presentation, I will explain why coding is even more important and how it would be wrong for a school to not embrace it or abandon the initiative. Teachers will be able to explain what an artificial neural network is and understand the concept of eSports and how it is a game changer for education. Teachers will be able to create and argument for the need for coding in their schools. Teachers will be given resources to use so that they can start a coding course. Teachers will understand that they can learn to code and they can teach it to their students.
