Emotional Intelligence via Tinkering and Robotics

Collaborative Robotics, Tinkering, and Making experiences can provide the perfect environment for the development of emotional intelligence and social skills. This session includes: 1. A description of a multi-age, inclusive, pilot robotics/tinkering program 2. Suggested materials for low to moderate cost initial program set-up 3. Discussion of how to facilitate collaborative experiences to increase the emotional intelligence of students1. Participants will be able to plan for the inclusion of tinkering and technology experiences in their schools and classrooms 2. Participants will be able to design STEM based learning experiences that provide opportunities for communication and social skills developmentElementary Teacher/Staff,Middle Teacher/Staff,Technology Integration Coordinator
