Today's learners need to be equipped with the tools and experience to thrive in a global society. Technology can help connect classrooms with the world and go far beyond the physical walls of a school. This session will highlight tools, ideas, and experiences that have helped students in our district become better global, digital citizens. Video pen pals, mystery skypes/hangouts, Minecraft Education, and cross-cultural lessons/projects are just a few of the items being explored. Walk away with some new ideas and resources for connecting your classroom globally.Participants will take away resources such as LumenEd Video Pen Pals, Pen Pal Schools, Mystery Skype Collaborative Notebook, Global Skype-a-thon, Minecraft Edu Global Art Project, Global Read Aloud, Geoguessr, Global Oneness Project, Virtual Environments, Taking IT Global, are some of the highlights.
