Do you think you have what it takes to be a TOP TECH integration specialist or tech coach 0r just curious to see tech coaches in action transforming teacher centered traditional lessons into top rate, student centered tech infused activities? The real work of tech coaches is not just training staff on how to use different technology tools, but to work at teachers' sides to help them co-plan and co-teach lessons to support them in their efforts to use technology effectively in their classroom. Whether you come to compete or watch, all attendees will gain a greater understanding of how to effectively incorporate technology into existing lessons. Participants will see first-hand how this process can work and will get a chance to rate what they think is the best lessons. Attendees will be introduced to the SAMR model of tech integration and learn how to move from replacing paper worksheets with online ones to completely redefining their lessons. They will see how using technology through more student centered activities can be be easily accomplished. The Pre-Conference workshops are not included in the conference costs and are an additional costs. Pre-Conference workshop hours can be purchased on the NYSCATE conference registration form.
