Research Assistant
Xiaoyu Wan is a doctoral student at the Warner School of Education at the University of Rochester. Her research interests are focused on online course design and digital instructional design in higher education. Xiaoyu has worked as an ESL and Chinese teacher for audiences from K-12 and higher education in China and the United States. During her master’s study, Xiaoyu took an interest and developed expertise in online teaching and learning and earned a Master’s degree in Teaching and Curriculum, with an advanced graduate certificate in Online Teaching and Learning. Xiaoyu has extensive experience designing online and hybrid courses for ABVI-Goodwill and Strong National Museum of Play. Her strengths include translating the needs of clients and learners into effective and engaging online instructional design. And her rich cross-disciplinary knowledge in science, language, literacy, education and business, inform the creative and engaging learning experiences that target audiences have consistently embraced.
